The Symposium will take place at the Congress Facility of the Institute of Chemical Technology , Building called "Sázava", Prague 4 - Jižní Město (Southern Town), K Verneráku 950
(Metro line A to station "Chodov" and then 3 stops by bus No. 122 or 177, exit at bus stop "VOLHA" )

Aim of the Symposium is:

bulletto promote Czech-Swiss collaboration in research, development and industrial activities
bulletto create platform for personal scientific, technical and commercial contacts
bulletto present biotechnological activities of economic relevance
bulletto define synergies existing in both countries
bulletto exchange information between universities and industry
bulletto discuss topics of mutual interests (round table discussions may be organised on the request)

Only abstract submitted in the prescribed form (see attached example) and in the MS Word text editor (file formate: doc or rtf) sent

Deadline for submitting abstracts for oral and poster presentation: July 15, 2002

The abstacts sent after deadline will not be included in the abstract book.

Fees:

Registration fee for regular participant paid before July 15, 2002 is 2000 CZC or 135 EURO.

Registration for fee students paid before July 15, 2002 is 1000 CZC or 68 EURO (i.e.50 % of regular fee).

This fee includes participation of all sessions, refrishment during the symposium, abstract book and invitation for the together-party, voluntary participation at excursion.

Registration fee which includes three night accommodation in single rooms with breakfest at the place of symposium is 4000 CZC or 270 EURO for regular participant and 3000 CZC or 270 EURO for students. Using accommodation in double rooms deduction 500 CZC or 25 EURO will be provided. (Thus the fee including accommodation in double room will be 3500 CZC or 245 EURO).

The cheep accommodation, provided with kindness of Institute of Chemical Technology, is limited and will be provided only for early applicants.

The later applicants may use wide offer of hotel and pension Prague service. Other types of accommodation will not be arranged by symposium organizers.

The registration fee after the deadline will be increased by 10%.

Late payment at registration before the symposium is possible only in CZC.

Payments:

The registration form should be accompanied by a copy of the remittance slip of the bank transfer to the account of the Czech Biotechnology Society:

The name of the participant, as well as, the code "BS" should be clearly marked on each remittance. If payment is made for more than one person, please indicate all names.

Cancelation:

Cancelation must be sent by fax (+420 2 2435 5167) or e-mail (Jencp@vscht.cz) to the Symposium secretariate. 80% of the fee will be returned if cancelation is received before October 1, 2002. No refunds will be provided when participation is canceled after this date. The replacement by another participant is possible at any time.

Organisers have no responsibilities for ordered services elsewhere (e.g. accommodation, tours)

Accommodation:

Accommodation will be arranged at the symposium place when incresed symposium fee will be paid. The registrant will receive message that his/her accommodation will be possible. If the accommodation capacity will be exhausted other accomodation facilities should be used according to organizers recomendaton or on the basis of own decission..
